Fashion for a bargain – that‘s what everyone wants. A T-Shirt for 2€ isn‘t inconceivable nowadays. Unfortunately, people don‘t often consider who is paying the real price. #whomademyclothes
We placed a bright turquoise vending machine, offering t-shirts for 2 Euros, at Alexanderplatz in Berlin, to test whether people would still buy it when they are confronted with the conditions in which it was produced. Eight out of ten shoppers decided against it!
24 April every year is Fashion Revolution Day which is held in memory of the 1,133 workers killed in 2013 when the Rana Plaza garment factory in Bangladesh collapsed. We need greater transparency in the fashion supply chain because we can’t improve conditions or protect the environment without knowing where our clothes are made. We need to challenge brands and retailers to take responsibility for the people and communities on which their business depends. Ask the brands whose clothes you love #whomademyclothes and help start a Fashion Revolution.
If you would like to support our campaign and help to build a better future for everyone in the global fashion supply chain, please donate via the following link to help us create a Transparency Index of leading fashion brands http://fashionrevolution.org/get-involved/support-us/ Even donating €2 will help make a difference.

Amazing idea, amazing work!
13c an hour is better than 0c an hour or being a prostitute
i'd still buy the shirt. it's not my problem that bangladesh is a shithole overpopuated country. if they have a social problem inside their country it's their own damn problem.
I see comments about how expensive shirts are not better – very true, but the point is not (just) that cheap shirts are produced under bad conditions, its about making informed decisions as the buyer. Saying "all shirts are equally bad so I will just buy the cheapest" is not the solution, neither is making 50+ dollar T-Shirts, as the production cost is low compared to other expenses and wouldn't make a shirt cost 25 times more…
Genius, genius… Stephen Howking made this campaingn.
It doesnt matter high or low cost, the message is wrong since they talk about low cost clothes… think about h&m (low cost) and dior (high cost), both produce their clothes in china or india where people are treated like slaves…so
Has anybody tried 2 euro to donate first then another 2 euro to buy the shirt? Just wondering
Hahahaha stupid people you lost 2€! The company will still paying cheap to their employees and you donate instead of buy hahaha WTF
Our Task
Meditation:
September 6, 1937. Today, I begin a new assignment. I go from the garden to the desert of the gate. I went in to talk to the Lord for a while. I asked Him for a blessing and for graces to faithfully carry out the duties entrusted to me. I heard these words: My daughter, I am always with you. I have given you the opportunity to practice deeds of mercy which you will perform according to obedience. You will give Me much pleasure if, each evening, you will speak to Me especially about this task. I felt that Jesus had given me a new grace in relation to my new duties; but, despite this, I have locked myself deeper in His Heart (Diary, 1267).

Deeds Done for Me
Meditation:
The doctor did not allow me to go to the chapel to attend the Passion Service, although I had a great desire for it; however, I prayed in my own room. Suddenly I heard the bell in the next room, and I went in and rendered a service to a seriously sick person. When I returned to my room, I suddenly saw the Lord Jesus, who said, My daughter, you gave Me greater pleasure by rendering Me that service than if you had prayed for a long time. I answered, “But it was not to You, Jesus, but to that patient that I rendered this service.” And the Lord answered me, Yes, My daughter, but whatever you do for your neighbor, you do for Me (Diary, 1029).

i miss berlin 🙁
Its not like you have a choice anymore all products are outsourced and you just cant beat the prices I mean cmon realistically how many people care if you can buy a 10 dollar t shirt instead of a 100 for made in your country by illegal citizens anyway.
Good
I need a the same machine for Colombia!!!
98% of comments= dissing the video
2% of comments= memes or whatever
me= Obviously if they don't work, they don't get money, but if you buy the cheap shirts instead of finding shirts that weren't made from people in developing countries, then you could help stop the companies from producing, whether it helps the people or not. They are taking advantage of these people and you guys are all complaining and saying that it's better than any other option, but do you not feel any guilt that you support terrible companies that put people to work cheaply in weak buildings and in a dangerous environment? Do you feel proud that you buying a t-shirt can cause a death of another person just because you wanted a cheap t-shirt? It's sad how corrupt people are today because they don't seem to give a shit or even think of donating because they just want a bargain. We already have enough money, look at them.
The Funny thing is that all people buy a t-shirt for 10€ or more in any shop and it's made in the same place with the same girls… Like Zara, H&M, Primark… etc and all textil industries made their clothes the same way.. Very funny. This video and the machine should have the names of shops that works this way.
Meanwhile Chinese clothing manufacturers are outsourcing their production to Africa because apparently minimum wages in China, Bangladesh, India and Vietnam are becoming to high. Sure, they invest in Africa's infrastructure but they also buy themselves into decision-making so African government represents Chinese interests… what a twisted, sick world this is.
This entire project has achieved its goal… they made the accountable companies dodge the bullet in another part of the globe where shit is even more burning.
Fucking stupid message
Oh boy, what a mess. Yeah, good questions people asked in the comments bellow. Where's the "Return the money" button? And why should the money be donated anyways? And where to? The women will lose their jobs if the company won't sell those t-shirts. Besides.. What the hell are we supposed to wear then? Those t-shirts were just plain white t-shirts, not some desiner-super-duper supreme clothes. Damn.. Your brains are really twisted (the creators of the idea)
They need to make more from this thing ❤️
The comments on this video just go to show how misinformed we are on the fashion industry . it's so sad that the point this video is trying to make goes so much deeper than it depicts to an audience that has only seen the tip of the iceberg on this economical issue.
Buy it, enjoy it
Experiment? this is bullshit
I can't believe these over privileged fucks on here saying " well if I don't buy shit then they'll lose their job" excuse, but yet have the nerve to complain about the disvantages we have, and be advocate about 15 an hr for mc donalds. don't try to hide behind that bull shit logic about losing their jobs if we don't buy it. If you want to be vocal about minority and women rights, you better fucking be twice as out raged about these people of color and their women. Admit your wrongs in exploiting these poor people because otherwise you're hypocrites. I'm out raged as fuck, and I want to boycott these greedy companies for killing these people, destroying earth, and their right to have a humane life.
Lol, i would donate the same amount i take. Cmon, 2 bucks guys, buy 3 donate 3 😀
我都買貴的ADIDAS的衣服但他們會讓工廠員工有比較好的薪水嗎

fuck it, i'd have pressed buy, it's my money, they are earning theirs, that's how the world works folks
VG, Edgar
sweatshops are horrible! but it's hard when you don't have a lot of money yourself and 99% of the clothes you can afford are from there. what's the alternative that we're supposed to use? i really /wish/ i could buy (and afford) clothes that didn't come from cruel places, but i don't know how.
